Having lived for many years in Holmfirth - and having heard many of the stories and legends of the valley - I have rarely been as intrigued by a location as this site. Bill’s O’ Jacks, despite its isolation, was a famous pub that overlooked Wessenden and Saddleworth Moor in the heart of the Pennines. Sadly, it was pulled down many years ago.
