It's Official the new "My Yorkshire Sketchbook is launched today by Dalesman Publications

The 1st October marks the launch date of "My Yorkshire Sketchbook", a small hardback book intended to provide an insight in to the locations I have made personal connections with through my fifty years as an artist. The drawings are lightening sketches drawn at speed to capture the essence of the landscape, the movement of light and the atmosphere, this then forms the naked structure of an original painting.

Paintings are interspersed throughout the book with my thoughts, prose and passion about Yorkshire.

As a sturdy pocket size book I hope that many will use the book as a guide to visit the stunning locations around Yorkshire and the Dales to stand in my footsteps and compare the loose drawings with the reality, feel the wind in your face, water in your boots and the beauty of "God's County" surrounding you 

The book will be available in most good retailers but will only be available signed by Ashley Jackson from the gallery in Holmfirth and website
