Bringing Peace and Tranquillity to day ten of our 12 days of a Yorkshire Christmas
On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: ‘Peace and Tranquillity’ in Upper Wharfedale.
In this scene, the George Inn stands quietly on Christmas morning, surrounded by the serene beauty of a world at rest. Inside, families and friends gather in warm rooms, sharing laughter, stories, and traditions that bring the heart closer to home. Outside, the landscape lies untouched, as if wrapped in its own blanket of peace. For one precious day, it feels as though the world’s troubles are softened, cocooned beneath the calm of freshly fallen snow.
