Making Yorkshire Day super special this year with Forget Me Not

To celebrate Yorkshire Day, we have donated a framed original pencil sketch, worth £750, to Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

For some time we’ve been planning to do something unique in partnership with this amazing charity. Unfortunately the coronavirus put pay to that. That’s why, when everything closed down, we asked what can we do?

We know that with the closure of Forget Me Not’s charity shops and many events being cancelled or held virtually, there will be a shortfall £2million pounds, a drop of nearly half the income they need each year.

So we wanted to do our bit at this really difficult time to help them raise the funds they need.

The original artwork, a pencil sketch of Holme Moss, is a celebration of Yorkshire. It also symbolises the ‘home from home’ that the hospice provides for children with life-shortening conditions and their families in West Yorkshire, through end of life care, bereavement support, music therapy, respite care and so much more.

We hope, by donating this original pencil sketch to mark Yorkshire Day 2020, we can help Forget Me Not continue to care for the children and families who need them most.

The pencil sketch is due to be auctioned at a future date but if you wish to donate in the meantime to Forget Me Not just head to www.forgetmenotchild.co.uk/donate

Let's make Yorkshire Day truly a celebration of all things Yorkshire and support by donating or by sharing this post on Facebook so that we can raise as much as possible. Thank you.
