Farm house on Blackshaw Moor
Blackshaw is a parish in Calderdale and its moorland is a contrast to its neighbour Kirklees.
Across the valley is Stoodley Pike,with a monument erected by public subscription which was commenced in 1814 to commemorate the surrender of Paris to the Allies,dominating the Moors above Todmoden. Even on this bright day, smoke exits the chimney's showing the temperature of the day.
