Visit the Yorkshire Coastline

Scarborough Lighthouse by Yorkshire watercolour artist Ashley Jackson

Something a little different , a watercolour sketch taken from ‘Ashley Jackson Watercolour Sketches’ published by @white_owl_books

Scarborough Lighthouse originally built in 1809, the lighthouse has survived its own battles over the years , destroyed by a German Shell in WW1 and rebuilt in 1939 the building is now home to the Scarborough Yacht Club.
Due to the sad decline of the fishing industry the lighthouse is now just manned through the Summer, but it still remains a beacon of hope against the rock face.
