Give me the arts, for art is beauty
Beauty is also in a woman.
But when I stand upon these moors,
I see beauty that never dies.
But woman’s beauty fades with time.
 

And equal to beauty is companionship,
Which woman has.
Funny with both these gifts one cannot
touch them.
Which is beauty in itself.

As a young man of 23 I wrote this in my sketch book, although 72 these words still hold the same place in my thoughts and in my heart.

I have been with my wife Anne for over 50years and like the Yorkshire Moors she has been my life having the confidence in a young man with a leather jacket and a pocket full of ambitions.
