Save the Date - More4 9pm The Pennines - featuring Ashley Jackson

Yorkshire Artist Ashley Jackson has been busy with True North Productions for a (Channel 4) More4 production 'The Pennines - The Backbone of Britain'  of which airs on 14th February at 9pm. The series producer Gareth Fielding has mentioned that Ashley's segment is ;' a lovely ode to Yorkshire and its moors'.

Filmed above Slaithwaite in horizontal rain and wind the Yorkshire weather was not forgiving as Ashley captured the combination of the raw landscape with the Industrial buildings in the valley bottom, talking about his love of the Pennines and the unique landscape which has been his muse for over 50 years. Further footage was taken on the windswept Isle of Skye above Holmfirth.

The Four part series is to be a documentary homage to the Pennines and follows the day to day lives of the people who live and work up along the Pennines, stretching from Derbyshire up to Northumberland. Showcasing the stunning landscapes it will show viewers what it's like to live and work the land. Episode 1 aired on the 7th February featuring the Peak District and the locations move further North each week.
