Spring has arrived with Wash Day in the Yorkshire A-Z

With 'W' we reach 'Wash day'. Spring had at last arrived. When I came across this homestead, with the washing billowing in the wind, I knew life could not get much better. There was nothing for it but to put brush to paper and to capture the view. When ever I look at this painting, I can smell the freshness of that day. The pure unashamed naivety of this scene makes me hope that future generations will be able to have and appreciate similar ones.
