Size: 10"1/2" x 8"3/4" Double mounted in soft white
Turner is the master of all skies; I look for the light as Turner did and most of all I look for my mistress on the Moor. Working in the Great Cathedral of the open air, I try to capture the echoes in the sky, looking through a tunnel to focus the eye moving within the painting.
This is the title painting which celebrated Ashley’s 70th year exhibition, ‘Power and the Passion’ at the Mall Galleries, London and Temple Newsam House Leeds.
Mounted only is double mounted in off white. Framed is double mounted in off white with narrow silver/pewter distressed frame.
Please note, this image does not reflect the true proportions of the painting and sizes stated above describes the overall size of work including the mounting.
